Music is a very powerful subject - From the dawn of civilization and beginning of time, music has been an integral and inseparable part of human life which helps in healing, communication, relaxation and enjoyment. Music is something that every person has his or her own specific opinion about and nearly everyone enjoys music, whether by listening to it, singing, or playing an instrument. Music has been divided into Vocal and Instrumental. Musical training helps the students to develop skills such as working in teams, communication, self-esteem, creative thinking, calmer attitudes, imagination, discipline, study skills and invention are learnt and improved through its study.
Dance is a performance art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of body movements in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself. Dance introduces grace and the beauty of soul to our young individuals. Dancing improves brain function, allows dancer to achieve peak performance by blending cerebral and cognitive thought processes with muscle memory and proprioception (movement sense). Dance has so many benefits, it teaches children about music, rhythm and beat. Students also have a better understanding of spatial relationships and learn to think. All these skills enhance a child’s academic performance, as well as their physical well-being. Apart from the obvious fitness, it is sociable, easy to learn, and requires nothing other than a room and the music.
