Social Service

God creates and sustains. Those who sustain man, are really in the service of God. The service to Man is considered to be at par with the service to God. Man is a social being and has duties towards society, and service to society is called social service. We have the energy, we have the will, but we do not know how to channelize it.At Kamla Nehru Hr. Sec. School we help our students to understand their duties towards society and the nation. We encourage them to undertake services like helping a blind man cross a road, nursing the sick and the old, donate books, food & blood, take active part in the national scheme of afforestation, and help the nation in the removal of illiteracy. All these are service done towards humanity which can alleviate the sufferings of the distressed. Other than this our students take out processions, organize seminars and perform street plays to awaken public opinion against social evils like superstition, blind faith, ignorance to illiterate, drug addiction, casteism, and dowry system. These programs help them to understand the importance and necessity of social service, and also make them humble and good human beings
